Banana Bread Baking

Kaila and I had some really ripe bananas, so we decided to make banana bread. I woke up around 6:45 this morning, so I was bored by the time Kaila got up at 9. I decided the perfect remedy to that was to bake.

This batter was delightful
I found a great recipe from Eat Better America - only the best healthy recipe site for baking in the entire world - called banana nut bread. However, I made the following adjustments to the recipe.

  • I removed the nuts, not because I don't like them but because I didn't have any to use
  • I cut down the sugar to about half a cup

It was really easy to make and I am surprised at how good it really tastes. I am beginning to get upset at my oven. This recipe called me to bake the bread for 55 to 65 minutes on 350 degrees. I baked this for like 39 minutes and it looks all brown and burned on the outside! I have an industrial super oven!

Just look at how dark it is!
It smelled so good fresh out of the oven...

If I learned one thing from this wonderful baking adventure, it was that I need to make sure to check up on my baked goods. This is not the first (and surely won't be the last) time I overcook something in my oven.
