You want to know the best way to get under my skin?
Tell me I am wrong even if you know I am right.
Tell me I am wrong and don't back up your statement.
Tell me I am wrong. Period.
I visited a website yesterday called Atheist Connect. This way bad news from the beginning. I should have never visited in the first place. But I did. Sue me.
Here is their logo. I couldn't care less if I stole their copyrighted image. Could the tagline be more pathetic? |
This website has the perfect amount of ignorance mixed with grammar and spelling errors to make me furious. I want to feel sorry for all the lost souls, but they are rude, crude, and difficult to deal with.
The article I really wanted to rip my hair out over is "Five lies Christians hold dear about the myth of a Christian nation." 'Nuff said.
I somehow made it through this sorry excuse of an article about the fallacy in Christian faith. So, I commented in the comments section about the fallacy of the article and how I really wish the person had actual sources so I could look them up. About 12 hours later, I had over 7 replies to my post about how I am an "idiot" (and other expletive words) and all I had to do was Google the information. Google? I am expected to trust the first thing I find on Google and assume it to be true? WOW. It is more difficult to be an Atheist than it is to be a believer.
I think I am going to pray for those on this site. I think they are lost souls who just need to understand the true love of God. I think they are trying too hard to deny the truth that it makes them defensive when someone wants to know more. It makes me sad.
