It has been quite some time since I was last recognized for something. I mean something in an award-like fashion. (The automated President's list emails do not count.) I love recognition.

We had a recognition pizza lunch today at Meredith. People submit little recognition slips into a bowl every month, and we eat pizza and read some of the slips at our lunches. It is nothing exciting, but I always love attending and seeing what else is going on in the New Media department.
Usually, they even draw three of the recognition slips to receive a gift card. Today, my name was called! I never expected to be nominated for anything (especially from the person who nominated me), and I especially never expected to have my name drawn. I chose a $25 gift card to Amazon.
